A case of tuberous sclerosis

Abstract

|
|
We experienced a case of tuberous sclerosis. The patient was 4 month aged male infant who suffered from seizure since 2 months earlier. Hypopigmented, leaf-shaped macules were scattered on the face, trunk. And extremities. Brain CT showed nodular hyperdense lesions along the lateral wall of both ventricles. Electroencephalography revealed prominent slow wave with large amplitude, frequent sharp wave, and phase reversal in left parietal area suggesting hypofunction of the left hemisphere. We report this case with brief review of the related literatures.
